Colombian coal mine blast kills 11, search on for survivors
President Gustavo Petro mentioned on his Twitter account that rescuers have been making each effort to achieve the lacking miners.
The blast, which was attributed to a build-up of methane gasoline, occurred Tuesday evening in Sutatausa, a municipality in Cundinamarca division about 75 miles (45 miles) from the capital, Bogota.
Álvaro Farfán, captain of the Cundinamarca fireplace division, instructed native media the explosion affected 5 mines interconnected by tunnels, producing a “chain” blast with a large affect.
Petro mentioned 11 miners had been confirmed useless. Energy and Mines Minister Irene Vélez mentioned 10 folks have been unaccounted for.
